Pat Pat Pancake Girl

Pat, pat, pat
At the back of the bus
Changes taking place
People making their way
She pat, pat, pats her face
So gracefully

Masquerading between the lines
She an undercover girl, maybe Maybelline
Some say it’s vanity, insecurity
She just likes to look good
There’s always pressure to be neat

She’s a canvas for her arsenal
M.A.C. or L’Oreal
Estee Lauder, Bobbi B
She takes her time but hurries
Eyes, brows, lips and cheeks
While accounting for stop and go’s
Bumps in between

A little bit more and her transformation’s complete
She set her foundation through all her applications
Presses her lashes with that silver contraption thing
Her artillery in that clutch she’s carrying
A daily makeup tutorial for all the riders to see
I sit and write about her since the ride is boring
And she’s inspiring & entertaining me
She’s art & creativity

She strokes very slowly as she works on her hair
I wonder if she’ll bust out a dryer from under her chair
She’s got pencils, liners, brushes and blush
And I have to admit
She looks 10x better than when she got on this bus
